"They're coming to get you, Lola..." --Freddy Krueger

Jane DeHaan is an outcast. Too tall to be a jock, and too heavy to be in the 'in-crowd'. Constantly teased and downright tortured, Jane has faced every joke in the book at one point or another in her life.

Moving around a lot with her mother, who frequently changed jobs, Jane could never really feel 'at-home' anywhere she went. Until Hemingway came along.

At Hemingway, Jane met a group of girls who were just like her. Partnered with special effects guru Lola Cole and ex-prep cheerleader Amber Dunn, they formed the 'Petticoat Mafia', determined to get back at every one of their high school brethren.

That's where Rose Gibson came in. Rose, an outsider, was scarred at various places on her body due to self-mutilation. She saw her parents get killed when she was young, and it totally freaked her out. Bouncing around from foster home to foster home, she too could never quite fit in.

The Mafia befriended Rose, and welcomed her into the group with open arms. As time went on, they began to dream, all sharing the same nightmare of a hideous burned man with dirty claws.

It wasn't until Rose was raped that she revealed who the man in the dreams actually was-- Freddy Krueger, the dream demon from Springwood who had tortured and killed hundreds during his legendary reign of terror that spanned two decades.

Knowing Krueger's power, they resurrect him and hold his famous claw for ransom to cut a deal. In exchange for his glove, Krueger must kill the six members of the Hemingway wrestling squad who raped Rose. Krueger reluctantly agreed, but was sure to tell them just how dangerous a game they were playing.

Aside from Rose, the rest of the group was very unsure about the whole deal. They wanted revenge on the wrestling team, sure, but killing them? That might be a bit harsh, especially for Brandon Ortiz, Jane's one and only crush.

As time progresses, the wrestlers begin dying one-by-one, strange and odd deaths. Not realizing the true power of what they had awakened, the Petticoat Mafia decides to confront Krueger and put a stop to the deal before anyone else gets hurt.

However, Rose stands in their way, and the truth is revealed: Rose wasn't even raped at all. She just participated in a gang-bang, and Brandon was no part of it. Somewhat relieved that she could trust him, Jane added Brandon to the mix, but by that time, the cops were closing in, insisting that either Brandon or Jane were responsible for the score of murders.

They flee, and end up gassed to sleep along with the entire school. Entering the boiler room of the school, the Mafia confronts Rose, who, eager to die, is ready to fulfill her end of the bargain.

As Freddy enters the room, ready to collect his glove, the group must outsmart the evil dream stalker and escape back into the real world before it's too late.

Could they do it and save the whole school in the process, or would Freddy Krueger once again have the last laugh, using his 'dreamspawn' as a deadly pawn from hell?
